WHITE - George White moved to Bedford County, Virginia from Amelia County, Virginia in 1756. His wife and date of birth is unknown. Land records provide evidence that George is the father of Joseph White (circa 1760) of Bedford County Virginia. Joseph (1760) married Penelope Taylor on March 14, 1826. Census records finds him with a second wife Elizabeth, of this marriage were born Sarah who married John Dallas on February 11, 1795. Uriah, George (1783) married Sarah Freeman (1796) February 27, 1809 (daughter of James and Sarah Freeman); Elizabeth married John Burnett on October 12, 1802; Jane (Jincy) married John Witt on May 26, 1803; Massey (Massa) married James Crain on October 12, 1804; John; May (Polly) married Joseph Crouch on August 26, 1816 and died between 1844 and 1847; and Jesse died May 1877 all of Bedford County Virginia. Joseph (1760) died before November 24, 1844 when his will was probated. Looking for information on this family.

(age 60 b.Charlotte Co., VA). He is also shown on the 1850 census as being born in Amelia Co. about 1793. The only other DESHAZO/ER person I have found in Amelia Co., VA is an Elizabeth DESHAZO marrying a Peter Ponton. Now there were several families of DESHAZO in Prince Edward Co. (which joins Amelia). (need surname of Jemimah) and had five children with Jemimah: Mason (b.1780), Joel (b.1782), Lucy (b 1784), Grace (b.1788), and Parky (b 1790) DEARING. WILLIAMS - I would like to know if Philip Williams had relatives in the neighboring Prince Edward County area. I have an Edward Williams and I can't connect him to anyone else. Edward Williams is mentioned in Thomas D. Williams, Sr.'s death notice in Prince Edward County as being Thomas' father and being from Henrico County, but I can't seem to locate him in Henrico. John Butler bequeathed his nephew, George Ridley, 100 acres on Stocks Creek and his gun. John Butler also mentions his sister, Sarah Butler Drinkwater, and nephews, Josiah Drinkwater, John Wingo, Price Butler Penel, and wife, Martha. George Ridley sld this land to Thomas James of Ameilia Co. in Aug. 1772. Butler's widow, Martha, married Thomas James after Butler's death. Any information much appreciated.
